Bucket, the Dublin three-piece known for their confrontational live shows, return with their new single ‘Nonsense,’ out now via Warmth. The track follows the band’s 2025 debut EP Muck and arrives after recent showcase appearances at Eurosonic.

‘Nonsense’ compresses garage, noise-rock, hardcore, and electronic music into a volatile three-minute release that builds tension before collapsing into an erratic surge of sound. The production leans into sharp contrasts, moving between controlled, methodical passages and sudden bursts of distortion. Mixed and engineered by Dublin producer James Eager (Lankum, The Scratch), the single expands Bucket’s sonic palette, balancing danceable rhythms against crushing guitar tones and abrupt dynamic shifts.

Lyrically, vocalist Cian Dahdouh taps into society’s fixation with extreme psychology and the uneasy voyeurism of true crime culture, as he explains:

“The song is written from the perspective of a fictional stalker, unfolding as an internal monologue that exposes their obsessive and unsettling mindset. It draws on feelings of paranoia and being watched, alongside society’s fascination with mentally unstable people who commit horrific acts. The popularity of true crime reflects a desire to understand how these minds work, which pushed me to explore that space.”

‘Nonsense’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
