Bory finds clarity in conflict on new single ‘We’ll Burn That Bridge When We Get To It’
Portland-based songwriter Bory returns with the new single ‘We’ll Burn That Bridge When We Get To It,’ out today and marking his first release on the Toronto label Bleak Enterprise. The track arrives exactly two years after the release of his 2023 debut album Who’s A Good Boy and serves as the label’s inaugural release.
Built around Brenden Ramirez’s sharp, timeless guitar pop sensibility, ‘We’ll Burn That Bridge When We Get To It’ pairs bright, carefully arranged instrumentation with lyrics that explore how conflict avoidance can complicate everyday life. The song’s layered production amplifies its emotional tension, giving the track both lift and weight.
Ramirez explains:
“This song (and a lot of songs on this record) explores my non-confrontational tendencies. I sometimes get caught up in the social gymnastics of wanting to please everyone and I wrote this at an emotional time when it felt like regardless of what I do or say, someone is not going to be happy about it.”
‘We’ll Burn That Bridge When We Get To It’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
