Electronic duo Bodysync, comprising Ryan Hemsworth and Giraffage, have released their new single and video ‘Babies’ from their upcoming sophomore album Nutty, set to drop on June 28 via Buddies Inc.

Following the propulsive lead single ‘Rock It,’ ‘Babies’ continues to showcase Bodysync’s signature blend of humor and reverence for the electronic music of their formative years. The track features a vocal monologue that’s cut up, pitched, and looped to create a fried yet contagious vibe, juxtaposed with smooth R&B vocals, a dancehall-esque bassline, and acid synths. The accompanying video, directed by Mortis Studio, enhances the track’s playful and eclectic nature.

Of the song, Bodysync shares:

“The way that babies experience life with constant amazement and wonderment at every little thing is a state of mind we’re always trying to manifest. Everyone has the capacity to tap into their inner baby. There is something childlike about the big dumb bass in this track. Purposefully the bass notes are close to ones in a nursery rhyme.”

‘Babies’ is pulled from Nutty, an album that promises to delve into 90’s rave music while embracing various shades of dance music, indie, and pop punk influences. The album, described by the duo as “dance music by fans of DIY punk and Y2K pop, with a healthy dose of absurdity,” also features a notable collaboration with Daniela Andrade on the track ‘Bailer (I Want To Dance).’

Nutty by Bodysync is available for preorder now, and the full album will be released on June 28. Be sure to listen to ‘Babies’ today.
