Bibi Club releases dynamic new single ‘L’île aux bleuets’ / Announce new album Feu de garde

Montreal duo Bibi Club, comprised of Adèle Trottier-Rivard and Nicolas Basque, announce the upcoming release of their liberating album Feu de garde on May 10th, 2024, via Secret City Records.
Leading the album’s charge is the vibrant single ‘L’île aux bleuets.’ The track, brought to life by guitar, vocals, and a drum machine, narrates a tale of love, obstacles, authenticity, and the strength derived from overcoming doubt. Set against the backdrop of Île aux Bleuets, a secret location reachable only by swimming, the song echoes the themes of perseverance and surpassing limits.
“Inspired by the minimalism of our main influence, Suicide,” they explain. “Île aux Bleuets is located on a lake in the middle of the Laurentides in Quebec. It’s a secret lair that you can only reach by swimming there, by surpassing your limits. This song was written in a park in London, among the trees. It’s about love, obstacles, forging ahead, jumping off cliffs, being authentic, doubt, and the strength someone can give you.”
The 11-track LP, featuring vocal contributions from Helena Deland, Camille Delean, and Carmel Scurti-Belley, promises an irresistible collection of French Pop gems, marked by danceable rhythms and soulful melodies.
‘L’île aux bleuets’ is out now. Feu de garde is set for release on May 10th, 2024, via Secret City Records.
