Brighton-based multi-hyphenate Archie Sagers returns with ‘Silver Lake,’ a dreamy, new wave-inflected love song out now via his own label, Crafting Room Recordings.

Known for his self-produced 2021 EP New Colours In The Sky, Sagers continues to blend shoegaze textures with a nostalgic new wave palette on ‘Silver Lake.’ Anchored by lush six-string bass chords and jazzy live drums from Scott Alex Robinson (SPIKEMYHEART, Ahno), the single wraps warm, glistening layers of melody around a heartfelt narrative. Written just before moving in with his partner, the track reflects on the emotional intimacy of building a life with someone—whether in a shared home or within the quiet space between two people.

“I wrote ‘Silver Lake’ just before moving in with my partner and it’s perhaps the sappiest love song I’ve written. It’s based on the simple idea of creating a place that belongs to both of you – whether that’s a physical space like an apartment or the space you have for each other, that feeling of comfort when you think of them. It’s about how a person can make you feel as if there is no past or future without them, everything you need is right here.”

With ‘Silver Lake,’ Sagers invites listeners into a deeply personal world, rich with feeling, reflection, and sonic warmth. The single is out now on Crafting Room Recordings.
