Annika Kilkenny explores growth and renewal in her new single ‘Out In The Garden’

Irish singer/songwriter Annika Kilkenny has shared her latest single, ‘Out In The Garden,’ offering an evocative take on personal growth and self-reflection.
Produced by Ant Whiting (Lana Del Rey, Matt Maltese) and co-written by Emily Phillips (Florence and the Machine, SOAK), ‘Out In The Garden’ presents a thoughtful exploration of change and acceptance. The track captures the feeling of wanting a fresh start, only to realize that personal growth doesn’t require erasing the past.
Talking about the new track Annika says:
“‘Out In The Garden’ plays on the idea of planting oneself, like one would a flower, in hopes that they will grow differently. It’s a song about clean slates and wanting to start again but then realising that might not be necessary as our mistakes and our past shape who we are, and it’s best to not forget those things when growing into new versions of ourselves. It’s about accepting the past and using it as a tool to shape us into the people we want to be.”
‘Out In The Garden’ is available now on your favorite DSP.
