Ankhoï and Luch shape a new electronic era with ‘The Future’
French-Moroccan producer Ankhoï and Miami-based producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Luch release their highly anticipated new single ‘The Future,’ out now via Ninja Tune.
Built on deep, emotive production and forward-moving energy, ‘The Future’ marks the first Ninja Tune release for both artists and arrives with significant momentum, having already earned support from Keinemusik, Adriatique, and other leading figures in the electronic world. The track draws inspiration from witnessing the reconstruction of Acapulco after a hurricane—a moment that sparked reflections on transformation, resilience, and shifting perspectives. Its melodic depth, pulsing rhythm, and atmospheric layers echo those themes, offering a sound that is both introspective and undeniably dance-driven.
Speaking about the origins of the track, Luch explains:
“After the hurricane in Acapulco, I was on my way to play a show and started working on what would become ‘THE FUTURE’ with Ankhoï. Seeing the city rebuilding made me think about how much things can change, and that feeling really shaped the track. The future’s not what it used to be.”
Discussing the track, Ankhoï says:
“When Luch played me the vocal, I immediately connected with its emotion and the idea of transformation. We wanted to build something that carried that same sense of change – something you could feel deeply, but that still moves a dancefloor. The reaction since the first play has been incredible.”
With its emotional core and club-ready pulse, ‘The Future’ positions both Ankhoï and Luch for an impactful new chapter, strengthening their individual artistic identities while signaling a powerful creative partnership.
‘The Future’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
