Indie-pop riser Alex Amor releases new single ‘Like The First Time’

Co-produced by Karma Kid (Hak Baker, Shygirl) and Josef Page (Aziya, Pixx) the track is the latest song to be lifted from her upcoming EP.
Fast-rising Glaswegian indie-pop artist Alex Amor has released her latest new single ‘Like The First Time.’ Taken from her upcoming EP Super Sonic, the single is about “not giving up on a long-term love.” Co-produced by Karma Kid (Hak Baker, Shygirl) and Josef Page (Aziya, Pixx), the track opens with a grungey guitar line weaving between Alex’s poignant demands for assurance “I want you to face it / And tell me we’re fine.”
Speaking on the song Alex said:
“This song came together at the very end of a non-eventful studio day. Instead of ending the day early, we decided to listen to more music and take a few breaks. Haim came on in that moment and was a big reference for this project, with their first album being on repeat that day. The song’s about not giving up on a long-term love and recreating the magic when you first met, reigniting the spark that once existed in the relationship, with the intention of recapturing the magic of that initial encounter.”
‘Like The First Time’ is available today. Super Sonic is out November 3rd via Young Poet (WOOZE, Conor Albert).
