Alberta Cross release powerful new single ‘Watch Me Fall Down’

Recorded with acclaimed producer Ed Harcourt, the introspective track delves into the intricate dynamics of a father’s relationship with his children, combining danceable melodies with thought-provoking lyrics.
Following the success of their February release, ‘Never Gonna Walk Away,’ Alberta Cross return with the compelling single ‘Watch Me Fall Down.’ Produced by Mercury Prize-nominated Ed Harcourt, the track explores the idealistic perspective children have of their father, juxtaposed with the hidden struggles within paternal roles. Shuffling drums, atmospheric soundscapes, and powerful lyrics make ‘Watch Me Fall Down’ a resonant piece for those navigating the complexities of family connections.
Vocalist and lyricist Petter Ericson Stakee says:
“I’d say it’s a fever dream about the dichotomy between the idealistic perspective that one’s offspring have of their patriarch, yet really there’s a giant invisible tiger pulling all the stitches out of his mangled puppet body. With a lot of guitar pedals for good measure.”
‘Watch Me Fall Down’ is available on all streaming services starting today.
