Adam Hopper & The Wimps join Bingo Records, announce split 7″ release – ‘Like Dancers Do’ / ‘Robin Hood’s Bay’

Produced by Zac Barfoot (known for his work with Mr Ben & The Bens), ‘Like Dancers Do’ exudes a cozy, empathetic warmth, recorded entirely live in the studio.
Manchester-based indie outfit Adam Hopper & The Wimps are thrilled to announce their signing to Sheffield-based indie label Bingo Records. Alongside this exciting news, they unveil details of their split 7″ release, featuring tracks ‘Like Dancers Do’ and ‘Robin Hood’s Bay.’ The first side, ‘Like Dancers Do.’
With rhythms reminiscent of The Velvet Underground’s ‘Oh Sweet Nuthin’ and the melodic charm of The White Stripes’ ‘We’re Going To Be Friends,’ the track blooms with heartwarming melodies and vocal duets. Inspired by Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio remake, Adam Hopper describes ‘Like Dancers Do’ as a simple love song, reflecting on the wooden character’s gracefulness compared to his own.
Songwriter Adam Hopper says this of ‘Like Dancers Do’:
“I thought of this song while watching the most recent Pinocchio film. Like Pinocchio, I am also wooden. Though I believe he is a better dancer than I am. It’s just a love song really.”
‘Like Dancers Do’ / ‘Robin Hood’s Bay’ is out now.
