MisterWives: Nosebleeds
Release Date: July 14

MisterWives’ fourth studio album, Nosebleeds, is set for release on July 14, 2023, via Photo Finish Records and Resilient Little Records. Follow-up to 2020’s Superbloom, the album promises to showcase a heavier sound compared to their previous works after the loss of a bandmate during the pandemic and vocalist Mandy Lee’s divorce. “The changes in my life are what caused the music to follow. It’s been incredibly liberating — both sonically and visually — to give ourselves permission to change, to grow, and to not feel stuck within the confines of what might be expected from us and what’s been our comfort zone. We are all multifaceted and never one thing and I hope that’s the biggest takeaway for anyone who has noticed the change.”

Lyndsey Gunnulfsen is on record as calling the album “a reclamation of control in our post-pandemic culture, posing a complex discussion on fame, technology, spectacle, and female autonomy.” She continues, “If you search the definition of ‘evergreen,’ you will find words like: enduring, timeless, fresh, unlimited, and renewal. In our modern culture where everything is online, algorithm-based, and instantaneous, it feels like timelessness, longevity, and connection could someday become dying concepts. More than ever, PVRIS has, and always will be anti-formula, anti-virality, and anti-instant gratification.”
