Iggy Pop’s follow-up to 2019’s Free arrives on Friday, January 6, 2023. Produced by Andrew Watt’s Gold Tooth Records, the album features Watt, Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Chad Smith (RHCP), and others.

French Montana

French Montana: Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition
Release Date: January 13

French Montana has announced the sixth installment of his Coke Boys mixtape series. Set to feature the full Coke Boys crew, Max B Chinx, Stove God, T Dot, Chinese Kitty, D, Thang, Cheese, and Kenzo B, the mixtape follows up 2020’s CB5.

Margo Price: Strays
Release Date: January 13

Strays is the upcoming fourth studio album by American country musician Margo Price. Set for release on January 13 via Loma Vista Recordings, the 10-track album was produced by Jonathan Wilson at his Fivestar Studio and features contributions from Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Sharon Van Etten, and Lucius.

WILDES: Other Words Fail Me
Release Date: January 13

WILDES’ debut album, Other Words Fail Me, is an emotionally charged collection of songs that showcase the young artist’s raw talent and vulnerability. Produced by St Francis Hotel (Little Simz, Greentea Peng, and Micahel Kiwanuka) the album also features The Flaming Lips on its stunning closer, ‘True Love.’

The follow-up to Sosa’s 2013 mixtape Almighty So, the second incarnation includes 17 tracks. Two singles (‘Tony Montana Flow’ and ‘Racks Stuffed Inna Couch’) have been released with more likely on the way.

Guided by Voices: La La Land
Release Date: January 20

Indie music stalwart Guided By Voices are getting ready to release their 37th album, La La Land. The album is, according to Robert Pollard, “somewhat of a companion piece” to 2022’s Tremblers and Goggles by Rank and “continues to explore a path of diversity in styles and in longer, more adventurous song structures.”

Måneskin

Måneskin: RUSH!
Release Date: January 20

Italian band Måneskin, is set to release its third studio album on January 20th. Of the 50 songs recorded, 17 tracks made the cut and is set to include the band’s concert staple and “fan favourite” track ‘Gasoline,’ as well as another song they debuted in concert, ‘Kool Kids.’

Indie surf pop-rock outfit, The Moss, have recently announced (12/6) a new EP is set for release. Called Insomnia, the EP is their follow-up to their 2021 full-length album Kentucky Derby.

Siv Jakobsen: Gardening
Release Date: January 20

Norwegian singer/songwriter Siv Jakobsen has announced her third album Gardening will be released on January 20, 2023. Released via The Nordic Mellow the album is preceded by her latest single, ‘Sun, Moon, Stars.’

Mac DeMarco

Mac DeMarco: Five Easy Hot Dogs
Release Date: January TBA 2023

Canadian singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Mac DeMarco is set to release his fifth studio album, and first since 2019’s Her Comes the Cowboy. Not much is known about the project except that DeMarco has released a decent amount of merchandise promoting the project. In a statement drumming up hype for his 2022 tour, DeMarco says: “I’ve been driving around North America for the last couple months in my Toyota, making five easy hot dogs. I’ve been to a lot of new places, a lot of old ones. Seen a lot of old friends, made some new ones too. Keep your eyes peeled, maybe I’ll pop up in your zone soon.”
