Braden Kirkpatrick shares new acoustic single ‘Hold’
Braden Kirkpatrick releases his new single ‘Hold,’ offering the second preview from his upcoming self-titled debut album.
‘Hold’ centers on Kirkpatrick’s intricate fingerstyle guitar work and a restrained yet emotional vocal performance. The song explores the moment of leaving a relationship despite lingering feelings. Kirkpatrick’s guitar technique, shaped by years of study and experience in Nashville’s music scene, anchors the track as the melody moves through a dramatic emotional arc.
Braden says about the track:
“I wrote this song after stepping away from a relationship. I realized I had to walk away even though I didn’t necessarily want to. Ending things felt like hurling myself off a cliff, and there wasn’t a clear-cut reason as to why we had to part ways, but I felt such a dissonance that breaking up was the obvious choice. It’s a howling, dramatic, painful, cleansing thing, and the song aims to capture that.”
‘Hold’ is out now.
