JVLY releases ‘SOUTH’ Mel Blue Remix out now, continuing the anticipation for his upcoming SUNDERLUXE EP. The new single is available to stream via Mammal Sounds and follows his 2025 SUNDER EP.

Remixed by Sydney project Mel Blue, the track reimagines the original ‘SOUTH’ with a warmer and more introspective tone. Known for their emotive, genre-fluid approach to electronic music, Mel Blue trades peak-time energy for patience, texture, and emotional weight. The remix leans into spacious grooves, softened percussion, and a hazy sense of movement built for late-night listening. Co-written and co-produced by Kayle Butler, Callum MacDonald, Oscar Sharah, Luke Gerber, and Jacob Siles, the track is remixed by Mel Blue and mastered by Ryan Schwarbe.

JVLY said:

“I’ve been a big fan of Mel Blue for a while now, so when I heard they were into SOUTH and keen to do their own version, I was so hyped. Their stuff always has this beautiful mix of soul and nostalgia and energy that l knew they would bring to the track. SOUTH is about these repeated loops we can get ourselves stuck in sometimes, and their remix just hit me when I first heard it because it just nailed that feeling in such a fresh way. To me it sort of feels like something you’d hear in Trainspotting, that vintage UK sound I love, but at the same time it’s super forward-thinking, and it just has this nostalgic feeling that perfectly hits what I was trying to capture with this song.”

‘SOUTH’ Mel Blue Remix is out now and available to stream on all major platforms.

We’ve covered JVLY previously: ‘Locum featuring Lemonade Baby,’ ‘Drowning In My Room Contrecoeur Remix,’ ‘Walked The Sun,’ ‘Drowning In My Room,’ ‘Locum,’ ‘South,’ ‘Haze,’ ‘Here,’ ‘Tacit Feturing Una Mey,’ ‘Ambien,’ and ‘Swim.’
