dublon brings jazz and club warmth together on new single ‘Sunrise’
Oslo-based producer and multi-instrumentalist dublon releases his new single ‘Sunrise.’ The track follows his recent single ‘Euro’ and marks his latest release on the label.
‘Sunrise’ pairs jazz-informed musicianship with forward-moving electronic rhythms, reflecting dublon’s background as a classically trained pianist and drummer. Built around fluid instrumentation and steady house grooves, the track strikes a balance between late-night club energy and a lighter, daytime feel. The single features Congolese-Canadian rapper jev. and LA-based singer-songwriter Dana Williams, whose contributions bring contrast and clarity to the arrangement. jev.’s vocal delivery sits comfortably within the track’s rhythmic pulse, while Williams adds melodic warmth, reinforcing the song’s sense of movement and atmosphere.
Speaking on the project, dublon says:
“I wanted to include a lot of my new songs, and also play some unreleased demos I’m working on. I also tried including a couple of my favorites from artists like Table.”
‘Sunrise’ is out now on Technicolour and available to stream on all major platforms.
