Dewey push further into shoegaze on new single ‘Outside Of The Lines’
Paris-based indie rock and shoegaze band Dewey release their new single ‘Outside Of The Lines,’ marking the third and final preview of their debut album Summer On A Curb, due out February 13, 2026, via Howlin’ Banana Records.
‘Outside Of The Lines’ sees Dewey leaning deeper into shoegaze textures while maintaining an accessible, melodic core. The track opens with hazy, reverb-heavy guitars and a chorus-soaked vocal delivery that recalls classic shoegaze touchstones, before shifting into a more syncopated structure. Subtle drum machine elements introduce a rhythmic contrast that nods to 2000s pop production, giving the song a modern edge. The result is a nostalgic yet forward-looking single that balances emotional weight with an upbeat momentum, suspended between despair and optimism.
‘Outside Of The Lines’ is out now, with Summer On A Curb set for release on February 13, 2026, via Howlin’ Banana Records.
We’ve covered Dewey previously: ‘City Has Come To Crash,’ and ‘Jinx.’
