100%WET return with their new single ‘Delete Forever,’ out now via Crunchy Frog Recordings, marking the Copenhagen duo’s first release since their self-titled debut album.

The new single sees 100%WET reinterpret Grimes’ ‘Delete Forever,’ filtering the track through the band’s signature blend of drum and bass, hyperpop, and shoegaze, performed entirely with live instrumentation. Formed at Copenhagen’s Rhythmic Music Conservatoire, the duo approaches the cover not as a note-for-note recreation but as an atmospheric expansion. Their version leans into dense guitar textures, layered production, and an emotionally heightened soundscape that pushes the song’s underlying tension toward something heavier and more maximalist while preserving its melodic foundation. Vocals from Eir (also known as Sanna), a past collaborator on the band’s early single ‘Ether,’ are paired with Casper Munns’ own vocals to give the track a dual perspective.

Speaking on the release, guitarist and producer Casper Munns said:

“Covering this song was a spontaneous gesture to Sanna, because it’s one of her favourite tracks. I guess I felt drawn to the atmosphere of the song, because of these raw emotions and feelings of hopelessness, which are carried by an almost naive harmonic progression and uplifting melodies. I was also experimenting with a new guitar tuning on the 12-string at the time, tuning the strings in fifths instead of octaves, which made the chords sound really massive.

“Maybe the chaotic ‘guess I fucking love it’ attitude in the lyrics is what we tried to breathe new life into through a more noisy or ‘maximalist’ production, while wanting to stay true to the beautiful melodic core of the song.”

‘Delete Forever’ is available now on all streaming platforms.

We’ve covered 100%WET previously: ‘Leave It,’ ‘Over Me,’ ‘Ether.’
