Premiere: Ken Park wakes up on new single ‘Sleep Paralysis’
Ken Park has released his new single ‘Sleep Paralysis,’ out now via TODO, alongside the announcement of his upcoming self-titled EP, due February 26, 2026. The NYC-based artist has unveiled the track marking the first official preview of the forthcoming release.
‘Sleep Paralysis’ leans into a chilling, freak-folk-tinged sound, balancing intimate songwriting with a sense of unease and emotional exposure. The track captures a suspended moment between awareness and helplessness, pairing sparse instrumentation with a haunting melodic core. Its restrained production allows the song’s tension to unfold naturally, emphasizing atmosphere over excess and setting the tone for the EP’s reflective and deeply personal direction.
Park explains:
“‘Sleep paralysis’ is a state where the mind wakes before the body—where you’re aware of your own vulnerability but powerless to act. It’s something many of us experience at some point, and this song became my way of giving voice to that feeling of being stuck: wanting something intensely while knowing it remains frustratingly, persistently just out of reach.”
In support of the release, Ken Park will play several New York shows, including dates at Pete’s Candy Store on January 31, Night Club 101 on February 9, and appearances at New Colossus Festival from March 3–8.
