Kevin Holliday opens the line with ‘Hotline*’

Brooklyn-based artist Kevin Holliday releases his new single ‘Hotline*,’ out now via APOLLO Distribution, marking his first release of 2026 and the opening preview of a forthcoming project.
‘Hotline*’ blends hip-hop, R&B, jazz textures, and soulful vocals into a fluid, understated groove that feels intimate without being restrained. Built on warm rhythms and subtle swing, the track leans into restraint and space, letting feeling guide the momentum rather than spectacle. Holliday’s delivery stays relaxed and expressive, allowing the song’s emotional tension to surface naturally. The production carries a lived-in quality, balancing clarity with softness while maintaining forward motion throughout.
Holliday explains:
“‘Hotline’ is about a moment when you’re talking to someone you know you shouldn’t be, letting the feeling take over anyway. It feels like dialing an operator and waiting to be connected, knowing who’s there but unsure if you should stay on the line. It stays suspended in that moment before anything is said.”
‘Hotline*’ is available now to stream on all major platforms.
