Cootie Catcher lean into connection on new single ‘Puzzle Pop’
Cootie Catcher release their new single ‘Puzzle Pop,’ out now via Carpark Records. The track is the latest preview of their upcoming album Something We All Got, due February 27, 2026.
The fast-rising Toronto band’s third single from the album, ‘Puzzle Pop’ builds on the momentum of earlier releases while sharpening their melodic and emotional focus. The track pairs cascading guitars, buoyant synths, and driving rhythms with a sense of immediacy, unfolding as both reflective and propulsive. Self-sampling elements and layered vocal interplay give the song a dense but accessible structure, underscoring cootie catcher’s ability to balance openness with kinetic energy. The release arrives alongside a new animated video created by Corrinne James (Naomi Alligator), extending the song’s playful yet introspective tone into a visual format.
Singer/guitarist Nolan Jakupovski explains:
“It’s a song about how I should ask more from people but I don’t. A non-confrontational anthem? Always making incorrect assumptions from lack of communication… ‘i know you don’t like to point out the obvious/let’s just let nature run its course’.”
‘Puzzle Pop’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
