Heavenly returns with punk-fired joy on ‘Excuse Me’
Heavenly have released their new single ‘Excuse Me,’ sharing a first taste of Highway To Heavenly, their first new album in 30 years, out February 27, 2026 via Skep Wax.
UK indiepop pioneers Heavenly unveil ‘Excuse Me’ as a new single and video, marking their first studio album release in three decades. The track appears on Highway To Heavenly, released February 27, 2026, on the band’s own Skep Wax label.
‘Excuse Me’ channels a rush of classic punk energy while staying rooted in Heavenly’s melodic indiepop core. Fast, bright, and direct, the song is described as an outburst of punk spirit, celebrating a teenage romance with the nerdiest boy in school. The sound connects to the band’s 1990s roots while feeling immediate and unfiltered, balancing joyful pop hooks with a sense of urgency and drive. Recorded at Rumbaba in Deptford, London, and The Sunday School in Kent, the track was produced by Toby Burroughs, whose production keeps the performance sharp and uncluttered.
Heavenly will support the release with extensive tour dates across the UK, Europe, and North America in early 2026, including shows in London, Paris, Athens, New York, Los Angeles, and more.
‘Excuse Me’ is available now and can be streamed on all major platforms.
