Dirt Buyer unveil reflective new single ‘Baseball’
Dirt Buyer release their new single ‘Baseball’ today, offering the second preview of the upcoming album Dirt Buyer III, out February 6th, 2026 on Bayonet. The Brooklyn-based project, led by Joe Sutkowski, continues its rollout following last month’s announcement and the well-received lead single, ‘Get To Choose.’
On ‘Baseball,’ Dirt Buyer shift between loping and roaring distorted guitar as Sutkowski delivers a meditative reflection on expectation, growth, and personal autonomy. The single opens Dirt Buyer III and sets the thematic tone for a record that digs into childhood origins and the emotional disconnects that echo into adulthood. Sutkowski’s vocal performance drives the track’s dynamic tension, moving between quiet contemplation and heavier, cathartic moments.
Sutkowski explains the song’s deeper meaning, singing:
“It’s about growing up with certain expectations and adhering to them for no reason other than doing what you’re told. The song is about gaining autonomy and independence.”
‘Baseball’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
