Tyler Ramsey and Carl Broemel preview Celestun with new single ‘In The Willows’
Tyler Ramsey and Carl Broemel unveil their instrumental single ‘In The Willows’ today, December 4, 2025, via Duo Quest Records through Tone Tree Music. The track will feature on their upcoming collaborative album Celestun, set for release January 15, 2026.
‘In The Willows’ introduces the project’s acoustic focus with a stark yet carefully arranged composition that highlights the duo’s contrasting guitar styles. Ramsey and Broemel lean into rustic textures and atmospheric tones, shaping a reflective instrumental built on fingerstyle picking and classically influenced phrasing. The mood centers on depth, restraint, and interplay, offering a glimpse into the album’s predominantly acoustic landscape.
Ramsey states:
“‘In the Willows’ is one of my favorite instrumental tracks on Celestun. The mood that Carl’s playing added to the song captures me every time I hear it. I asked my daughter to name it for me and ‘In the Willows’ was the perfect title!”
Ramsey and Broemel bring decades of combined experience to Celestun. Broemel, known for his longstanding role in My Morning Jacket, has released several solo recordings and collaborative projects, including 2023’s …Thanks Y’all with Futurebirds. Ramsey, formerly the songwriter and lead guitarist for Band of Horses, continues to build a respected solo catalog, including 2024’s New Lost Ages. The duo first met in 2012 while touring with their respective bands, eventually beginning Celestun during the pandemic through remote song exchanges before completing the record together in Nashville in 2024.
Following the release of Celestun, Ramsey and Broemel will embark on a 26-city Celestun tour beginning January 16 at the 30A Songwriters Festival in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, with additional dates across the U.S. through February 2026, including stops in Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, and Asheville.
