Parisian indie rock and shoegaze band Dewey release their new single ‘Jinx.’ The track is the first release from their upcoming debut album Summer On A Curb, due February 2026 via Howlin’ Banana Records.

Driven by an arpeggiator pattern that lends the single a synthetic, ‘Bittersweet Symphony’-style pulse, Jinx blends late-’90s indie nostalgia with the modern sensibilities of acts like Wishy, Wednesday, Hotline TnT, and Slow Pulp. The track explores the tension between craving visibility and confronting the fleeting nature of trend cycles, pairing warm shoegaze textures with a subtly uneasy emotional core. Its accompanying video—directed by Parisian filmmakers Emma Birski and Alexis Tinevez—leans into humor, highlighting the band’s real discomfort in creating promotional material.

Formed in Paris, Dewey are relative newcomers, but their sound arrives fully formed, shaped by both American indie influences and the dreamy abrasiveness of classic shoegaze.

‘Jinx’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
