Robber Robber signals a new chapter with ‘Talkback’
Robber Robber release their new single and video ‘Talkback,’ marking their first new music since signing to Fire Talk Records. The Burlington, Vermont quartet — Nina Cates, Zack James, Will Krulak, and Carney Hemler — share the track as Fire Talk also announces a digital reissue and physical retail release of the band’s 2024 debut album Wild Guess, arriving in January.
‘Talkback’ continues the band’s distinctive approach to indie rock, expanding on the late-night textures and shifting emotional tones that defined their earlier work. The new single leans into a mercurial palette, pairing restless guitars with atmospheric dynamics that highlight the group’s undefinable aesthetic. Released alongside an accompanying video, the single reflects their continued evolution and sets the tone for what’s next under their new label home.
Robber Robber first emerged with Wild Guess, a debut that quickly drew praise for its engrossing, shape-shifting sound. As part of Fire Talk’s announcement, the album will be reissued digitally and on limited color vinyl and CD, with an option to bundle it with a new T-shirt.
‘Talkback’ marks the band’s first release since Wild Guess, signaling a fresh momentum as they begin their next chapter with Fire Talk.
‘Talkback’ is now available on all major streaming platforms.
