Today, Dublin trio Really Good Time share their explosive new single ‘Shit One,’ marking the start of a bold new chapter for the band. The release follows a year packed with major festival appearances—including SXSW, Reeperbahn Festival, and Left of the Dial—and comes on the heels of their recent signing to Mother Artists.

‘Shit One’ captures the Irish trio’s angular post-punk edge and chaotic live energy, distilling their sound into a lean, fuzzed-out anthem built for dancefloors covered in chaos and catharsis. The track marks their first release since SXSW, which also served as founding member The Dúke’s final show before his departure from the band. Now re-emerging as a retooled power trio, Really Good Time has rebuilt itself from the ground up with songs that amplify everything they do best—melodic hooks, dark humour, and a restless sense of urgency.

Frontman Wastefellow explains:

“‘Shit One’ is about a culture that revels in the spectacle of doom; it’s about stoking anxiety, selling nostalgia, and all the nihilism that brings. Things will just get better. Things should just get better. Why hasn’t anything gotten better?

“The song is written from that spiral, from watching the world burn outside your window while trying to soldier on, shoulder to the wheel of whatever can distract you for long enough.”

‘Shit One’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
