Helado Negro sends out a signal of renewal with ‘Sender Receiver’
Helado Negro (the musical project of Roberto Carlos Lange) has released ‘Sender Receiver,’ the final single from his forthcoming EP The Last Sound On Earth, out November 7 on Big Dada.
‘Sender Receiver’ is described by Lange as a dance song exploring the constant exchange of energy and information. Blending abstract lyricism with rhythmic movement, the track reflects his meditative approach to connection and communication. The single’s layered textures and electronic pulse mirror its conceptual depth, serving as both a sonic exploration and a personal reflection.
Lange says of the track:
“‘Sender Receiver’ is a dance song. It’s deep in the sense that we are constantly sending and receiving all types of information and energy. Its abstract lyrics are slices of thoughts from being on the road, with friends, outside in nature, and in motion. The title is my hope to create positive language as well. I remember reading and hearing something written by Ocean Vuong about how violent our language can be in the world and to ourselves, and I was moved and inspired, thinking about how I can interrupt my own words to try new ones. In music technology, a common term is ‘master and slave’ when connecting two machines together to communicate and exchange information to create music. I despise that language; it’s a constant reminder of oppression in all of our day-to-day thought processes and actions with people in the world, and I don’t want it in my world or in anyone’s world, let alone in our collective musical creative worlds.”
The Last Sound On Earth will be released November 7 on Big Dada. ‘Sender Receiver’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
