Monster Machine releases new single ‘Hopeless’ ahead of debut EP EXALTED’
Australian DJ and producer Monster Machine has released her latest single, ‘Hopeless,’ out now via Mammal Sounds. The track marks the third preview from her forthcoming debut EP, EXALTED, and showcases her growing command of the electronic music landscape with an unrelenting mix of emotion and energy.
‘Hopeless’ finds Monster Machine exploring the darker side of electronic production, combining the emotional weight of heartbreak with precision-engineered drum and bass intensity. The track blends the sharp, neuro-funk textures reminiscent of Noisia with the punch and edge inspired by Basstripper, while also drawing on influences from RL Grime, Nitepunk, and Knock2. The result is a high-energy production that channels longing and frustration through breakneck rhythm and cinematic sound design.

The single was co-written and co-produced by Penny Yang and Thomson Phan, with mixing by Monster Machine and Arky Waters, and mastering by APR Studios.
