h. pruz explores perception and illusion on new single ‘Krista’
Queens-based songwriter h. pruz has released their latest single, ‘Krista,’ a haunting exploration of perception and illusion. The track arrives alongside a self-directed video composed of footage from a homemade childhood YouTube horror series created by Hannah Pruzinsky and their cousin, Molly Schenkenberger.
‘Krista’ serves as the second single from h. pruz’s forthcoming album Red Sky at Morning, out November 7th via Mtn. Laurel. The record follows Pruzinsky’s 2024 debut No Glory. Co-produced by Felix Walworth of Told Slant and Florist, the album builds upon the intimate, ambient-folk textures that have become synonymous with h. pruz’s sound. Following the earlier single ‘Arrival’ featuring Florist’s Emily Sprague, ‘Krista’ deepens the project’s introspective tone with layered instrumentation and evocative lyrics.
h. pruz shares:
“‘Krista’ is about disturbances in perception, illusions. It was an exploration in following some of those disturbances, in my relationships or exterior observations, to completion.”
With ‘Krista,’ h. pruz continues to carve out a singular creative identity—bridging music, storytelling, and visual art into one cohesive, emotionally resonant universe.
