The Noisy releases country-influenced single ‘Nightshade’ ahead of deluxe album

Philadelphia-based band The Noisy have unveiled their latest single, ‘Nightshade,’ a country-influenced track taken from the upcoming deluxe edition of their acclaimed debut album, The Secret Ingredient Is Even More Meat, due October 24 via Audio Antihero.
‘Nightshade’ explores the confusion of closeness in the aftermath of broken relationships, examining how intimacy—even with friends—can blur lines in the mind. Musically, it nods to country influences, drawing from frontperson Sara Mae Henke’s (they/them) upbringing and time in Knoxville. Growing up listening to Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood with their mother and dancing to country music at river bars in Maryland, Sara Mae channels those roots into a sound that blends indie rock drive with classic pop elegance.
‘Nightshade’ is out now.
