Nep shares ‘Florida Girl’ single ahead of debut album Noelle

Rising indie-pop artist Nep has announced her debut full-length album Noelle, due October 24, 2025 via Harbour Artists & Music, and has shared its standout single ‘Florida Girl’ alongside a brand-new video.
‘Florida Girl’ serves as both a mission statement and an anthem of self-realization, reflecting Nep’s complicated love-hate relationship with her roots in Daytona, Florida. The track closes Noelle with a defiant chant, reclaiming her origins while refusing to be defined by them. Written with her collaborator Jake Sonderman during her senior year at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, the album was shaped by late-night sessions, college parties, and deeply personal experiences that lend it a diaristic yet cinematic quality. Each track experiments with different sonic palettes, from punk and folk to big band arrangements, creating an eclectic and emotionally rich debut.
Speaking about the themes behind ‘Florida Girl,’ Nep shares:
“You’ve heard of Florida men…crazy guys that wrangle alligators…but there’s crazy girls that do the same things!!!! Most people make me feel like I’m WAY too much for them. There’s something I’ve really loved about being honest about who I am. I hate shutting up. I looooove talking. Things deeply upset me and that’s okay. I grew up going to the beach every day. I’m too loud and I have random tattoos and I’ve held gators and I somehow don’t fit in anywhere even though everybody seems to do the same things. Also, I kinda love saying that I’m from Florida. Owning the crazy!!!!”
‘Florida Girl’ is now available on your favorite DSP.
