Glassio releases shimmering new single ‘Al Pacino’ featuring Loren Berí

Acclaimed London-based indie-electronic meets pop artist, Glassio, has unveiled his new single ‘Al Pacino,’ featuring Loren Berí, out now via Blitzcat Records.
‘Al Pacino’ is a shimmering slice of melancholy disco that transforms a cinematic reference into a deeply personal meditation on loss and goodbyes. Drawing on French-Touch grooves, New Wave textures, and the melodic richness of Brian Wilson, Glassio expands on the sonic world he has coined as “melancholy disco.” Both playful and heart-wrenching, the single blends hypnotic rhythms with emotional depth, channeling the pain of losing a friend while touching on deeper griefs that resurface through moments of parting. Born out of a late-night Zoom call and a long-distance collaboration with Loren Berí, the track is rooted in Glassio’s fascination with Al Pacino’s role in Michael Mann’s Heat, though the name ultimately serves as a metaphorical mask rather than a literal reference.
Glassio explains:
“‘Al Pacino’ is a concept, an idea. He has worn many faces. Maybe this is a song about saying goodbye to someone in your life who negatively does the same.”
‘Al Pacino’ is out now on your favorite DSP.
