London singer-songwriter Alice Costelloe has returned with her new single ‘If I Could Reach You,’ out now via Moshi Moshi Records.

Produced by Mike Lindsay (Laura Marling, LUMP, Anna B Savage), the single expands on the rich, exploratory art-pop direction introduced on her previous EP. Built on a framework of warped electronics and fuzzy guitars, ‘If I Could Reach You’ drifts further from Costelloe’s indie-rock roots into more experimental textures. Lyrically, the track captures the ache of trying to connect with someone just out of reach—less a romantic love song than one about absence, longing, and the fragile bonds of family.

Reflecting on the single, Alice Costelloe said:

“The song came from that feeling of trying to connect with someone who was always just out of reach. I wanted the production to carry that distance too. Mike and I even layered in the sound of a New Zealand busy tone as a kind of sonic metaphor. It’s funny and devastating at the same time, which is how that longing often felt.”

‘If I Could Reach You’ is out now on Moshi Moshi Records.
