Lucy Kruger and The Lost Boys unveil new single ‘Anchor’ and announce sixth album Pale Bloom

Berlin-based art-pop outfit Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys return with their hypnotic new single ‘Anchor,’ as they prepare for their sixth studio album Pale Bloom, set for release in February 2026 via Unique Records.
Following earlier 2025 single ‘Reaching’ and their first-ever UK tour, ‘Anchor’ signals the beginning of a new chapter for the band. The track draws on mnemonic echoes of childhood song, blending nostalgia with yearning. A staccato vocal delivery from Lucy Kruger is elevated by exhaling viola, sharp guitar accents, and startling enunciation. The accompanying visual, directed by longtime collaborators DTAN, depicts Kruger (un)devouring a pale white rose — a striking image of undoing and reassembly that deepens the song’s exploration of longing and transformation.
Lucy explains:
“’Anchor’ speaks to the eternal frustration of wanting to be both moored and meandering — to be known, yet able to create yourself anew. Can you sail into the unknown and still remain safe? Probably not. The song longs for home, but also for a love like the one you might feel before the imagined fall from grace that comes with leaving childhood. For somebody to say ‘it’s all going to be okay’, and to believe them.”
With Pale Bloom due in February 2026 and a supporting tour on the horizon, ‘Anchor’ is a bold introduction to Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys’ next chapter — a sonically rich meditation on belonging, desire, and the duality of safety and freedom.
