‘Something In The Heavens,’ co-written with Connor and Riley McDonough, explores loss and hope, balancing grief and the promise of reunion. Capaldi’s strong delivery carries the lyrics: “I’ll love you til my last breath, you’re gone but something in the heavens tells me that we’ll be together again.”
Fans first heard a teaser of the track during Capaldi’s current sold-out 17-date UK arena tour, where audiences in Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and London embraced it instantly, singing the lyrics back in unison. The live performance video, recorded at Abbey Road and directed by Huse Monfaradi, further captures the song’s raw energy and emotional power.
