Louis O’Hara shares moving new single ‘Just Grand’

Pembroke Dock songwriter Louis O’Hara returns with his most intimate release yet, unveiling the tender new single ‘Just Grand,’ out now via Libertino Records.
Written in memory of his late grandfather, ‘Just Grand’ reflects on loss with quiet grace and emotional depth. The track unfolds with delicate guitar and piano, while layered group vocals recall the hymns of a funeral service. Adding a deeply personal touch, O’Hara incorporates a field recording from his garden in Pembroke Dock, rooting the song in the natural sounds of home. The result is a sparse yet powerful meditation on parting and remembrance.
Louis explains:
“The song was written from my perspective of the last time I got to see my Grandad before he passed away. In it, I’m reminding him that everything is going to be okay after he’s gone – that though he will no longer be here physically, he will always be in spirit.”
‘Just Grand’ is out now.
