Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers release ‘MOTHER’ ahead of second album Glory
Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers have released their fiery new single ‘MOTHER,’ a preview from their upcoming album, Glory, out November 7 via Mom + Pop Music and Community Music in Australia and New Zealand.
The single marks a striking departure for the band, with guitarist Scarlett McKahey taking lead vocals for the first time. Beginning with twangy, western-inspired tones, ‘MOTHER’ erupts into a furious, full-band release, channeling raw emotion and rage into widescreen indie-rock power. Its arrival underscores the bold new era the band ushers in with Glory — an album that explores confidence, disgust, infatuation, and power with the kind of suckerpunch energy Teen Jesus has become known for. Produced by 3x GRAMMY Award-winner Catherine Marks, the album was shaped during five intense weeks of recording on Darkinjung Land in New South Wales.
