Hardwell’s latest single ‘Sanctuary’ made a thunderous debut last month as the opening track of his Ultra Music Festival Miami main stage set.

The Dutch EDM icon returned to the festival’s iconic Main Stage for the 11th time, unleashing ‘Sanctuary’ to an electrified crowd. The track’s trance-tinged melodies and progressive energy set the tone for a high-octane performance filled with unreleased cuts, fan favorites, and classic Hardwell anthems. Marking a shift in sonic direction, ‘Sanctuary’ steps away from his recent techno-influenced releases to embrace a more euphoric, melodic sound.

A standout moment in Hardwell’s ongoing artistic evolution, ‘Sanctuary’ blends emotionally charged buildups with sweeping soundscapes, delivering a track as expansive as it is impactful. Its lush arrangement and cinematic energy make it a natural fit for festival stages, while still feeling intimate in its melodic intent.

Speaking about the new single, Hardwell shared:

“Over the past few months, I found myself diving more and more into melodic structures and playing around with different soundscapes. Out of all the projects I was working on, ‘Sanctuary’ was one I just couldn’t let go of. It’s not quite a full trance track, but it definitely pulls in elements from that genre, which I love.”

‘Sanctuary’ is out now.
