Released via Blitzcat Records, the single arrives ahead of their upcoming debut EP Up Like a Weather Balloon, due November 15th.

Brighton orchestral cult rockers Flip Top Head return with their latest single, ‘So Much For Mole Catching,’ a lighthearted yet intricate track that showcases the band’s unique blend of indie-folk and post-rock. The track is a bright and optimistic song that highlights Flip Top Head’s versatility. Known for their dramatic and unpredictable sound, the band leans into frolicking melodies and dexterous vocal exchanges that effortlessly move between operatic and spoken word styles. Recorded with producer Theo Verney, the song’s inspiration comes from a chance encounter with a stranger whose father was named British Mole Catcher of the Month, giving the track its title and whimsical spirit.

The band describes the song as “loosely about the small moments you share with a significant other. From breakfast to bed, everything before, after, and in-between. Those seemingly mundane moments make you, as one heart, whole.”

With its playful energy and intricate composition, ‘So Much For Mole Catching’ offers a glimpse into Flip Top Head’s evolving sound, signaling an exciting new direction for the band as they continue to captivate listeners.
