Australian indie-pop sister duo, Charm of Finches, enchant with their latest single, ‘Clean Cut,’ weaving intricate folk melodies that mirror grace and darkness in their spellbinding harmonies.

‘Clean Cut,’ the newest single from Charm of Finches, dives into the melancholic depths of post-tour heartbreak, serving as a poignant self-reflection for the duo. Penned during a stay in Oslo, the song captures the essence of emotional healing, featuring haunting harmonies, captivating strings, and folk-pop rhythms. The accompanying music video, shot during a marathon 22-hour session in a Melbourne warehouse, adds a touch of mystery to the narrative as friends transform into dolls and clowns, bringing the haunting world of a mysterious doll museum to life.

“Going away on tour served as the catalyst for a break-up and Clean Cut is some self-advice. We stayed with a lovely lady in Oslo, Norway who let us play her gorgeous grand piano, and the first part of ‘Clean Cut’ was penned.”

As Charm of Finches prepare to release their highly anticipated album, Marlinchen in the Snow, on April 19th, ‘Clean Cut’ stands as a compelling precursor to the musical journey that lies ahead.
