Eleni Drake – Surf The Sun
British singer-songwriter Eleni Drake has released her sophomore album Surf the Sun (May 19th) via her own Vanilla Sky Recordings. Produced by the London-born / Melbourne resident, Drake explores themes of freedom and empowerment with curiosity, creativity, and originality. Surf The Sun follows the sun in a never-ending pursuit of warmth and the feeling of comfort that accompanies that warmth. “I’m a Leo, the sun rules me, and I’ve always had a deep connection with it,” explains Drake, who references it on almost all of the album’s 11 tracks. “[The album] is an ode to the sun.”
