There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.

This week we’re highlighting new music from Feist, Angel Olsen, and Metallica.

Feist – Multitudes

Feist has made a triumphant return with her sixth studio album, Multitudes. This long-awaited album follows the success of her 2017 record, Pleasure, and is comprised of 12 tracks, including the outstanding singles ‘Hiding Out in the Open,’ ‘In Lightning,’ and ‘Love Who We Are Meant To.’ Collaborating with producers Robbie Lackritz and Mocky, Feist wrote and recorded the album in a custom-built studio in Northern California’s Redwood Forest. The album serves as a reflection on the past few years, which have been a time of great change for Feist. According to Feist, Multitudes is “an album about the beauty and the messiness of being alive.”
