There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.
This week we’re highlighting new music from Galcher Lustwerk, White Lung, and Carl Cox.
Galcher Lustwerk – 100% GALCHER
Cleveland-born and Brooklyn-based producer Galcher Lustwerk’s 2013 DJ mix 100% GALCHER finally receives a proper physical and digital release almost ten years after its initial release. Successfully combining deep house beats with laidback vocals, the 15-track project is a production mix composed entirely of his own tracks. Hear for yourself why 100% Galcher has attained cult status.
Standout Songs: Parlay, Put On, I Neva Seen, Enterprise, Stem 3, In the Place, Cricket’s Theme, Dockside
White Lung – Premonition
White Lung’s Premonition is the fifth and final album from the Canadian punk rock band. The album is “about birth and rebirth. It’s about growing—and growing older—without losing the furious energy of youth. It’s the last album we’ll be getting from one of the best bands to ever do it.”
Standout Songs: Date Night, Under Glass, Mountain, If You’re Gone
Carl Cox – Electronic Generations
British house and techno club DJ, radio DJ, and record producer Carl Cox has broken his silence and delivered his first new album since 2011’s All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor. Originally scheduled for a September release, Electronic Generations is made up of 17 solo tracks and a second disc of collaborations.
Standout Songs: How It Makes You Feel, World Gone Mad, Electronic Generations – Reprise, Speed Trials On Acid (feat. Dan Diamond) – LF SYSTEM Remix, See the Sun Rising (with Franky Wah)
