3 New Albums Out This Week You Should Listen to Now: The Bowling Green, Stormzy, MIKE, Wiki & The Alchemist
There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.
This week we’re highlighting new music from The Bowling Green, Stormzy, MIKE, Wiki & The Alchemist.
The Bowling Green – Self-Titled
Micko Westmoreland is back. For his third electronica album with The Bowling Green, Westmoreland dusts off 20-year-old tracks and brings them together for one final studio album. “6 of the 7 tracks were recorded together which is why I regard the Self-Titled release as a final ‘studio’ album,” says Micko. Primarily recorded between 2002-2005, Self-Titled has a timeless vibe that electronic music connoisseurs should love.
Standout Songs: Disco Thong, Déjà Vu, Live Wild West, Mastermind
Stormzy – This Is What I Mean
Released November 25 via 0207 Def Jam/Interscope Stormzy’s 12-track release was primarily written on a retreat to Osea Island. This Is What I Mean is his first studio album in three years (Heavy Is the Head, 2019) and is billed as “an intimate love letter to music.”
Standout Songs: This Is What I Mean, Firebabe, Hide & Seek, I Got My Smile Back
MIKE, Wiki & The Alchemist – One More
