The institution that is Doug Martsch has once again delivered a complete gem. Marketed as the band’s first for Sub Pop and their first since 2015’s Untehered Moon, When the Wind Forgets Your Name reminds you why you first fell in love with the band. Consisting of Melanie Radford (bass), Teresa Esguerra (drums), and Doug Martsch on lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitars, the trio gel and proves that the success of the band was (and is) well deserved.

The Afghan Whigs – How Do You Burn?

Dating back to 1988, Cincinnati’s original rock band The Afghan Whigs have once again stepped out into the limelight. How Do You Burn? sees the veterans once again tweaking their formula for their eighth album and their first since 2017’s In Spades. Released through BMG Rights Management, the album is their first since 1998’s 1965 not released on Sub Pop.
