Metric – Formentera

Toronto band Metric have released their eighth album, Formentera. Named after the Spanish island of the same name, Metric has created a buzz by naming their latest album after the famed island as it carries significant weight in the history of rock n’ roll. Emily Haines comments on the island’s history, “We came to this realization that it wasn’t even about an actual place anymore… It was about creating an escape for yourself in your mind because you’re powerless over so many things.”
