3 New Albums Out This Week You Should Listen to Now: Rosali, Waxahatchee, and Adrianne Lenker
There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.
This week we’re highlighting new music from Rosali, Waxahatchee, and Adrianne Lenker.
Rosali – Bite Down
Rosali’s Bite Down emerges as a captivating blend of smooth, pop-infused singer-songwriter melodies and experimental rock elements, marking it as one of 2024’s standout records. With a unique ability to intertwine intimate introspection with bold experimentation, Rosali Middleman crafts songs that resonate universally while remaining refreshingly unpredictable. Despite her newfound prominence in the indie music scene, Rosali’s musical journey has been years in the making, spanning various projects and collaborations, including her tenure with the David Nance Band. Bite Down represents a culmination of this journey.

Waxahatchee – Tigers Blood
Waxahatchee has released her seventh solo album, Tigers Blood, through ANTI- Records. Following the critical success of her 2020 album, Saint Cloud, and the collaborative venture, I Walked With You A Ways, with Jess Williamson as Plains in 2022, Tigers Blood represents Crutchfield’s most confident and resilient work. The album delves into themes of self-discovery, revisiting past experiences, and finding strength in vulnerability. Boasting collaborations with renowned musicians such as MJ Lenderman, Spencer Tweedy, and Phil and Brad Cook, Tigers Blood promises to be a significant chapter in Waxahatchee’s artistic evolution. Produced by Brad Cook and engineered and mixed by Gerardo “Jerry” Ordonez, the 12-track project was recorded at Sonic Ranch Recording Studios.
