London-based DIY band Pynch return with new single ‘Post-Punk/New-Wave,’ the first glimpse of their upcoming second album Beautiful Noise, out 3rd October via their own label Chillburn Recordings.

The track is an ironic yet heartfelt ode to making music in the digital age, offering a self-aware narrative wrapped in lo-fi textures and pop instincts. With glitchy electronics, slacker rock ease, and tongue-in-cheek sincerity, ‘Post-Punk/New-Wave’ showcases the band’s evolving sound—raw yet refined, playful yet pointed.

Guitarist and vocalist Spencer Enock explains:

“We wanted to announce Beautiful Noise with ‘Post-Punk / New-Wave’ because it captures the playful spirit of the record and in a way tells the story of the band through its lyrics. It’s an ironic but sincere take on making DIY music in the modern world and I love that it feels like a pop song without really having a chorus – like a slacker rock Band on the Run.”

The single is accompanied by a video directed by Macgregor that mirrors the energy and humor of the track.

“Macgregor did an amazing job of matching the energy of the song in the video. There are a couple of film references in there and I think the final sequence is the best thing we’ve film shot as a band.”

In support of the new album, Pynch will embark on a UK tour this October, with stops in Manchester, Birmingham, London, Glasgow, Brighton, and more. Tickets are on sale now.
