Louie Blue blends retro and modern sounds on ‘In The Dark’
Finnish alternative artist Louie Blue returns with a new single, ‘In The Dark,’ building anticipation for his third studio album, Blood & Bones.
‘In The Dark’ continues Louie Blue’s streak of compelling pre-album singles, following the releases of ‘Toni’ and ‘Dusty.’ The track blends light, upbeat melodies with layered vocals and a sophisticated instrumental arrangement that feels both retro and playful. Lyrically, the song examines uncertainty in a relationship and the struggle to communicate, highlighting Louie’s ability to combine technical skill with emotional depth.
Louie explains:
“The story is based on the movie ‘I, Tonya’. I felt very moved by the film, and wanted to write about the betrayal and desensitization of abuse.”
‘In The Dark’ is available on all streaming platforms now. Blood & Bones follows on September 19th via Sony & Booa Music, featuring tracks like ‘Ordinary Girl,’ ‘Get It Back,’ ‘Samantha,’ and ‘Diamond.’
