Rising Stockholm duo tibia unleash their debut album See What Heaven Looks Like Now, delivering a raw, rollicking soundtrack for the restless and the revelrous.

Produced by: Elias Sahlin and Vide Willemark

Formed by Elias Sahlin and Vide Willemark, tibia’s first full-length effort is a chaotic, joyous testament to their whirlwind inaugural year as a band. Written and produced between Elias’s apartment and Vide’s studio, the album’s origins are steeped in late-night barroom musings, fueled by cheap drinks and boundless ambition. See What Heaven Looks Like Now captures the essence of breaking free—embracing hedonism, chasing adventure, and reveling in the unpolished thrill of youth. Its ten tracks, from the gritty, Beck-inspired swagger of ‘Walk on Candy’ to the buoyant, Killers-esque rush of ‘Molly in Mexico,’ brim with infectious hooks and a rough-edged charm. Drawing from influences like Nirvana, Suicide, and the indie anthems of the early ‘00s, tibia crafts a sound that’s both nostalgic and fiercely present—a night-out playlist for misfits and dreamers alike. The album’s journey, bookended by the atmospheric ‘For You (Intro)” and the wistful ‘Please Hold (Outro),’ weaves through highlights like the effervescent ‘Mary’s Lifestyle’ and the sun-soaked rebellion of ‘Rock and Roll, Summer.’

“When you listen to tibia, we want it to be like putting on your coolest pair of jeans, doing a smokey eyeshadow and feeling sexy. We want it to give you that confidence,” Vide says. “We asked ourselves before, what would the dream be? And we said the dream is us being in a random city, walking past a random park where there’s five misfit teens drinking their parents’ wine and we hear them playing our song. That’s the dream.”

For Elias and Vide, See What Heaven Looks Like Now isn’t just an album—it’s a manifesto of spontaneity and living large. With its giddy, messy energy, tibia’s debut is a mother’s nightmare and a hedonist’s paradise, ready to soundtrack your next great escape. See you at the bar.
